Enhancements
Enhanced Support for Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN) using e-Acquire360
The latest version of Eniteo contains updates that enable steel service centers to send and receive Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs) as XML files.
About e-Acquire360
The e-Acquire360 specification is overseen by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). The AISC, in partnership with mills, service centers, and software vendors like Enmark, developed e-Acquire360 because more than 90% of structural steel in the U.S. is purchased via a fax or email attachment. Both require large amounts of human interaction in the form of manual re-entry of line items. e-Acquire360 sets out a standard XML file structure to exchange information between all parties in the steel procurement marketplace. With further adoption of this standard, Enmark will help empower direct, automated communication between buyer and seller across the entire spectrum of procurement.
Benefits
e-Acquire360 integrates with Eniteo software to simplify and automate the import and export of ASN data. Benefits include:
- Reducing errors in inventory management by automating the importation of piece counts, product codes, heat numbers, chemical and physical test results, and shipment details.
- Streamlining communication among steel service centers, fabricators, and customers.
- Improving efficiency by increasing transaction speed for shipping managers and customers.
- Streamlining Data Entry by eliminating the need for manual data entry.
- Eliminating the need for additional programming or development by incorporating functionality directly within Eniteo.

Pre-Receiving a Purchase Order from a Mill through an ASN XML File
After generating and sending a Purchase Order to a supplier – such as a mill or other service center – if they support e-Acquire360, the vendor can send an ASN XML file electronically via email. Upon receipt, an Eniteo user can import the file using the ASN Pre-Receive Import.
Sending an e-Acquire360 compatible ASN file from Eniteo to a Customer that Purchased Material
In addition to receiving an ASN XML file, Eniteo customers can send e-Acquire360 compatible ASN files to their customers, including other Eniteo-using service centers or fabricators that have adopted e-Acquire360 compatible software, such as Trimble’s Tekla fabricator software.
After creating a sales order through Command Center and inventory is ready to be shipped, go to the Shipping application. Follow the Picking, Loading, and Shipping process as usual. After clicking Update and/or Print, the last option in the print reports dialog will be an ASN steelXML option.

Planned Integrations
Purchase Orders: This feature will allow customers to send Purchase Orders (POs) from Eniteo as XML files to mills that support e-Acquire360. Additionally, Eniteo will incorporate the capability to import e-Acquire360 PO files for customers receiving POs from suppliers and vendors.
Request for Quotes: This feature will allow customers to send and receive RFQs via XML.
Importing MTR Files: This feature will allow the delivery and storage of MTR and ASN XML files.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue with scrap percentage calculations in Production Order Entry were being inflated.

- Fixed an issue with back-to-stock and scrap weight calculations in the Production Register report for items that were not consumed within the same production order.
- Updated the Cutting and Production Pre-Register and Register reports to display the correct source and back-to-stock weight when multiple source tags have been used in a cutting batch or a production order.
- Fixed an exception in the Process Buyouts program when changing product codes and clicking on comments for a given line.
