As always, keep in mind that new menu options won’t initially be available to any of your Capstone users. (Users can be given access to new menu options via the Manage Users and Manage User Groups programs.)

Also keep in mind that, when a user permission such as “Allowed to delete a sales order line?” shown below is added, the response will be set to the value that will maintain the status quo for all users and user groups. (The Manage Permissions screen shown below is accessed via the Manage Users or Manage User Groups program.)

The Manage Replacement Costs program has been modified as follows: When adding a new record, the unit of measure will now default to the unit of measure shared by all existing records. When all existing records do not share the same unit of measure, a default unit of measure is not displayed.

When unstaging a special-order or one-off-fabrication-order tag, you can now spawn a new item.

The Internal Sales Order document now displays the full, 50-character, 2-line description of the applicable item rather than its brief, 40-character, 1-line description.

Infrastructure supporting tag bundles is included in this release. Tag bundles are supported for heat-traceable, fixed-length* standard sizes when the stocked-in unit of measure applicable to the item is pounds (lb).

*As shown below, fixed-length standard sizes support manufacturing tolerances.

The Browse/Manage Inventory screen now includes a button labeled “Bundle Detail”. Clicking this new button will display a list of the bundles associated with the highlighted standard size.

The Tag Detail screen now includes a column labeled “Bundle #”. When applicable, the bundle number that the tag is currently in as well as the piece number (within the bundle) assigned to the tag will be displayed in this column in this format: 9843/7 (piece 7 of bundle 9843).

When the tag is in a bundle, the Tag Information screen now includes 1) the bundle number and piece number, 2) the precise length, and 3) the diameter range.

A new program called Measure Bundled Inventory will allow the user to break a multiple piece fixed length tag into single piece tags that are associated with a bundle.

As shown below, you can now reverse the default sort or for non-standard sizes. Just click the arrow in grid header.
