Accounts Payable-> Master Files-> Vendor Groups-> Vendor Group Maintenance: Prior to this release, Vendor Group was referred to as Vendor Type. The functionality of vendor groups throughout Steel Plus is the same.
You will see throughout Steel Plus, any report that contained Vendor Type in the selection criteria is now referred to as Vendor Group.
Accounts Payable-> Master Files-> Vendors-> Vendor Maintenance: The prompt on the Vendor Maintenance screen formerly referred to as Vendor Type is now Vendor Group and has been moved to the left-hand column of the screen. Previously, you could only assign one vendor type to a vendor. Now, you may have up to five vendor groups per vendor. If a vendor has only one assigned group, that group will appear on the maintenance screen. If the vendor has more than one assigned group, the prompt will display MULTIPLE. You can maintain the list of assigned groups using the Shift-F5 key.
Accounts Payable-> Master Files-> Vendors-> Vendor Maintenance: Prior to this release, the F7 key was used to allow up to twenty vendor groups to be associated with a vendor. The F7 pop up window has been relabeled Vendor Item Categories and expanded to show the category description for each category assigned to the vendor.
Miscellaneous Functions-> Setup/Miscellaneous-> Feature Initialization-> Feature #1880: This feature allows you to control whether a user with branch-level security is warned when that user attempts to access a customer that they are not formally associated with.
Miscellaneous Functions-> Setup/Miscellaneous-> Feature Initialization-> Feature #1063: This feature allows you to control what is presented on the Customer Activity Inquiry screen and the AR Aging reports.
Accounts Receivable -> Reports/Inquiries -> Customer Activity Inquiry: The inquiry screen will show the information based on Feature #1063 described above.
Sales Orders -> Processing -> Enter Orders/Quotes: “Quick Reservations” -When entering a new sales order line for a tagged length-type item, instead of entering a quantity, use the ‘F6’ key to access the Inquiries Menu. Use the View/Reserve Inventory option to display a list of available tags sizes.
Move to the desired size and hit the ‘F3’ key to display the available tags.
Use the SPACEBAR to toggle the selection of specific tags to reserve to this sales order line. When selecting a tag, you will be prompted for the quantity to reserve.
Selected tags are indicated with the “>” symbol.
Once all tag selections are complete, hit ‘F10’ to save. The selected tag quantities will be transferred to the sales order line as the order quantity. Note that these tags are reserved, but not staged to this line.
Attention customers using ACH Universal to pay vendors. As of version 14.46B, all ACH-related information has been removed from the Steel Plus vendor file and must be stored in ACH Universal.
Before updating to Steel Plus 14.46B, you will need to re-map the Steel Plus ACH output file into the ACH Universal software. You must also add vendor ACH information previously stored in Steel Plus into ACH Universal. You must configure ACH Universal to use the vendor code supplied by the Steel Plus ACH output file to retrieve the vendor's bank routing number, account number, account type, etc.
