Filter Settings Now Remember Selection Allowing Warehouse-Level Scanning
With this release, the Filter by option selected in the 3-dot menu will be remembered across the Android Scanning app for each user.
This is particularly useful for scanner users who work across a warehouse and need to work down order lines outside of their designated area. The scanner remembers if the scanner user selected the Warehouse, for example, and keeps that setting until it is switched back.
To modify the filter, users can click the 3-dot menu in the top right of the screen while in the application's Picking function (or when using the View List function while in Physical Inventory mode). In the dropdown, they can see which Filter by level the scanner is set to and select and different level.
If the filter is set to the Warehouse level instead of Area level, the scanner will show items across the entire warehouse. Once set, the selected filter level will be used automatically anywhere filters can be applied until it is changed.
The filter setting is also remembered per user across sessions: if a user logs out and logs back in, their last filter selection is restored. This is convenient for shared scanners, since each user’s filter selection is remembered and re-used when they sign in, rather than using the previous user’s setting.
The currently selected option is also visible on the Main Dashboard. If it’s set to the Area level it will show both the Warehouse and Area, while showing only the Warehouse if set to the Warehouse.
In addition, because Physical Inventory and Standard modes work differently, the Filter by selection is now saved separately for each mode. In Physical Inventory mode, the scanner defaults to the last Filter by option used in that mode (for example, Location level).
When switching back to Standard mode, the scanner uses the last Filter by option previously selected in Standard mode.
Finally, if a scanner user switches to a different Area during the workday using the Change My Area setting on the main dashboard, the Filter by option is reset to the Area/Location level selected.
Warehouse Transfer Comments Now Visible in Scanner
Scanner users can now view Warehouse Transfer Comments when picking lines linked to a transfer. Either tap the Comment icon on a transfer line or select the Comment option from the 3-dots menu on the reservation card.
Transfer related fields include:
- Transfer Number
- Transfer Line Number
- Transfer Comments
- Transfer Line Comments
- If the transfer line was created from an order: comments on the related Order and Order line
- Additional comments on the load associated with the transfer line (when applicable)
Bug Fixes
- Picking: Fixed an issue where the Foreign/Domestic exception did not display the Allocated and Ordered tag details.
- Picking: Fixed an issue on the Tag Picking screen where the Ordered tag detail wasn’t displayed in some circumstances.
- Physical Inventory: Fixed an issue in Physical Inventory mode where locks from one warehouse were locking items in other warehouses in some circumstances when both warehouses were simultaneously conducting physical inventory. Tag and page locking now applies only to the warehouse to which the scanner user is assigned.
